I see that Florida Food Hound reviewed the Taco Bus last autumn and gave it a “good, but not great.” In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve developed a deep affection [...] As JB mentioned earlier, her folks came into town, and we had to feed them while they were here. Since neither of us cooks much, that meant a lot of eating out. Mimi’s Cafe for breakfast was tasty, but for some reason they put the four of us at a particularly small table, while reasonably sized [...] Saturday we were invited to dinner at Trang Viet (1524 E Fowler Ave). I didn’t realize until we got there that this was some sort of special group dinner hosted by Florida Voices for Animals. They arranged with the restaurant owner to serve a vegan buffet. The meal was sensational! The folks hosting the event were [...] I don’t get it. Everyone told me I had to try Mel’s Hot Dogs. Delicious! they said. And so, last week I found myself on Busch Boulevard around lunchtime and drove over to Mel’s. I had a chili dog basket. It was a perfectly adequate dog, but I’m not sure why this restaurant gets all the [...] My parents are coming to visit for a week over Spring Break. They arrive on Monday at about 7:30pm, and will want to go out for dinner right away. I figure Dave and I will pick them up at the airport and then head straight to a restaurant…somewhere near-ish the airport. But [...] |
