Scandal

St. Pete Times’ Ben Montgomery has the scoop on celebrity chef Robert Irvine who is supposed to be opening high-concept restaurants Ooze and Schmooze.

“It is now three months past the planned opening. Look through those windows, past the giant posters of chef Robert Irvine, and you’ll see a dirt floor, exposed pipes, lonely ladders.”

Thanks to Laura for the pointer.

Ooooooh, that’s interesting. Remebering back through my TV consumed life, on the “Next Food Network Star” last season, one of the front runners was aske to remove himself from the competition for exaggerating his military service. If this proves to be equitable through all layers of the Scripp’s heirarchy, then we might have seen the last of “Dinner Moderately Difficult”.

WTF!!!!!!!!! I agree with Mal. I am sure he will be cancelled once this gets to Scripp Networks.

If he had any sense, and was serious about opening the restaurants, he’d change the name from Ooze to Scandals or Sir Robert’s.

I think he’d be completely forgiven with a sheepish confession, contrite behavior, and poking some fun at himself.

Robert Irvine always struck me as far too self important a personage to display anything like contrite behavior or self-deprecation. Which could be why, even in my FN driven life, I have no desire to watch his show.
Don’t worry Mal Carne, Jag is off somewhere happily stalking Bobby Flay…

    Hi, Jessica.

I think you’re exactly right. Someone with the ability to be self-deprecating and contrite probably would never find themselves in this position.

Cool, that leaves Keller all to me.
