Welcome to Re/Creating Tampa

Welcome!

Re/Creating Tampa and its sibling blogs Eating Tampa, Greening Tampa, Reading Tampa, and Screening Tampa are about recreation in its two different meanings. The first, and most obvious, is that I’ll be writing about recreational past-times, eating, drinking, reading, watching movies, etc. But, the other element of re-creation is addressing issues of urban design and sustainability. Rather than lump everything under one page, I split up the topics so that people interested in movies won’t have to read the posts about restaurant reviews, or those interested in urban design don’t have to read the book reviews if they don’t want to. Or, if you want to read everything, all the pages provide easy access to each other.

This page, Re/Creating Tampa, is what I consider the “top” page. This is the page for general interest posts. If I ever write, or point to, art, politics, or humor it will likely find its way to this blog.
