The St. Pete Times rightfully commends the courage and action of Keli and John Isett for their efforts in alerting the tenants of a small apartment complex of a pre-dawn fire they spotted while out exercising.

But then the editorial concludes with this odd non sequitur -

“When you are out for a walk, carry a cell phone and identification. You never know when you will need them.”

It’s mentioned early in the editorial that the Isett’s could not call 911 because they did not have their cell phones with them, but what does carrying one’s identification have to do with this story? Nothing as far as I can tell.
