In the About page I mention that we’re in the process of fixin’ up our house. This summer we re-did our bedroom, ripping out the old floor and putting in a new one, replacing the baseboards, and painting. The last thing to do, which I did earlier this week, was to put in some bookcases.
As it is now I have books tottering in piles next to stacks of boxes (full of books) in nearly every corner of the living room and dining room. Now that I finally have a place to put them I’ve been sorting them into piles of giveaway, storage, and bookcase. It’s been tremendous fun, but it means I haven’t had many spare moments to look at the internet. It also means I’ve been neglecting my writing. I’m currently up to page 53 (of an expected 400 pages) and I’m probably not going to be adding much to it this weekend. Once all the books are in place I should be able to return to a regular schedule.
But, only for a few weeks. My GA contract starts on August 7, and classes start the 25th. Looking back, this summer has been relatively productive, I can only hope that this productivity continues and my GA-ship doesn’t load me down with a lot of busy work. We’ll see.
In the meantime I’m adding some new bits of humor video to Screening Tampa, I have a review of BT Restaurant I might be able to get up today I’ll post soon, and sometime this weekend we’ll take a brief look at prefab housing.
