Lakeland Local Expands

The Lakeland Local, a great hyperlocal blog covering all things Lakeland, has been adding authors recently. Billy Townsend, one time Trib reporter covering Polk county joined earlier this summer, and Lorrie Delk Walker just announced that she’s shuttering her blog to join forces with Chuck Welch. Along with Darby Critendon the Lakeland Local now boasts four bloggers covering local issues.

In addition to his blog expansion (as well as running Metro I-4 News, to which Re/Creating Tampa is a proud contributor) Chuck, along with Tommy “Sticks of Fire” Duncan, will be leading a discussion about hyperlocal blogging at Blog Orlando in late September.
