The city of Tampa not to long ago initiated a Green Fast Track Review, which is just what it sounds like, a way of cutting through red tape to make green construction more attractive. The Green Fast Track Review received its first submission.
“August 11, 2008 – The Beck Group, one of the areas largest builders, submitted the first project utilizing the City of Tampa’s new Green Fast Track Review process. … The four-story, 45,000 square-foot office building, scheduled to break ground in mid-September, is going for Silver status in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction (LEED-NC) building program.”
