I recently posted a suggestion about how to create a social network among Tampa metropolitan area neighborhood associations.

On Monday I met a Re/Creating reader who told me about Tampa Homeowners, An Association of Neighborhoods (THAN).

Looking it over I see that THAN is a pretty good resource, well worth checking out (I’ve put it in the Local Links tab above). But, it still doesn’t meet the communication needs I was suggesting.

It seems that it is an active group, meeting regularly, and with a majority of the neighborhood associations involved. The first step would be for whoever takes the minutes to post them to a THAN blog. This would help spread the information to those of us who may not be able to make the meetings.
