Kathy Castor is hosting a Financial Aid Workshop this Saturday. I think the class is mostly geared toward high school juniors and seniors, but it might be a good time and place to start learning about adult and non-traditional education.
Financial Aid Workshop
Saturday, May 2
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Hillsborough Community College – Dale Mabry Campus
Student Services building
4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd., Tampa
Here’s a .pdf flyer for the event. If you bring your paperwork, there will be people who can help you get started.
“On Saturday, my office will sponsor a college financial aid workshop. We have pulled together financial aid experts from local high schools and colleges. They will be available to discuss with you and walk you through the complicated Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition to the ‘hands on’ help, a University of South Florida representative will give a talk called ‘Financial Aid 101,’ and a U.S. Department of Education expert will explain the additional money that is available through the Recovery Act.”
