By 1987 Mia Farrow convinced Woody Allen to produce a biological offspring. After the 1994 divorce Mia was given custody of young Satchel, and he only saw his father under strictly supervised visits.
When he was eleven years old Satchel entered Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Last month he graduated from Yale Law School at age of 21. 21! Somewhere along the way he changed his name to Ronan Farrow.
Not only is Ronan brilliant, he’s also committed himself to good deeds. His journalism focuses on human rights issues in the Horn of Africa, and has worked in various capacities with the United Nations.

I post only because I was idly wondering what ever happened to Satchel. I wasn’t expecting to learn he had turned out to be a super-hot, super-genius do-gooder.
He is estranged from his father.

I wonder if he regrets his estragement with the only father he has? Despite everything, Woody loved that boy and has had to cope with the idea that his son no longer loves him. I suppose he thinks this is the morally correct decision, but is it human? What about forgiveness?
Forgiveness is one thing. It has nothing to to with the young man's need to stay away from his perverted father.
His whole story is pretty crazy. If I had a son, and he were super brilliant, I’m not sure I’d want to pack him off to college at age 11.
Woody should make a movie about a family reunion with himself, all the Previn/Farrow kids, Soon Yi, and his adopted children with her.
