Thanks for the Nomination, Florida Netroots

I just learned last night that “Across the Tampa Blogosphere” was nominated for best on-going series at the Florida Progressive Coalition Blog. AtTB didn’t win, but, as they say, it’s an honor to be nominated. (Oddly, AtTB is intentionally apolitical, whereas the ongoing series about progressive politics, “Politics Monday” was nowhere to be found. Regardless, thanks to the nominator.)

The fact that I only learned about this last night suggests I’ve been spending way too much time at work, and not enough time goofing off on the Internet.

Congratulations to other local nominated bloggers — Jon R. at SOG City Oracle, Michael Hussey at Pushing Rope, Stogie at Ybor City Stogie, Deborah Newell Tornello at LitBrit, Ben Kirby at The Spencerian, and Peter Schorsch at Saint Petersblog. (If you’re a progressive blogger nominated in one of the categories and located in the Tampa area that I didn’t mention, leave a comment. I don’t mean to leave anybody out!)

Congratulations also to everyone who was nominated. And thanks for everyone for keeping the progressive blogosphere alive in Florida.

Run-offs are taking place this week. Go vote for Stogie for Best Local Blog.
