Matt at Florida Food Hound eats at Five Guys Famous Burgers and likes it.
I had a Five Guys burger the other day and have to agree that they are tasty. Matt particularly liked the fresh, thick french fries. Personally, I prefer the thin and crispy kind of fries, but there’s no denying they come plentiful and fresh.
Five Guys also has a simple menu, which I like.
“Bottom-line: If you’re looking for a no-frills burger joint that focuses on serving great burgers and fries at fast-food prices, but with home-cooked taste and freshness, Five Guys is worth giving a try.”
Matt’s review can also be found at Florida Food Hound, btw, is a great blog about eating and restaurants in Tampa. Unlike my lazy ass, Matt manages to get great photos of the food and restaurants.

I haven’t tried Five Guys in Tampa but in the Washington DC area they are voted best burger almost every year. I was so happy to find out there is a Five Guys in Tampa. And tonight I had to see if the Eating Tampa blog had rated Five Guys.
The bacon burger with everything is their monster burger and boy is it tasty. I made the mistake of ordering a large fry the first time at a Five Guys. A large fry is a lunch sack full of fries.
I have been on a diet the last few months, but if I decide to break it Five Guys is going to be one of my first stops (Mels will be high on the list too, haven’t been there yet). MMM…tasty burger…
Since I wrote that in February I’ve been back to Five Guys approximately 164 times.
Well, that might be a slight exaggeration. I’ve grown to love their fries. Perhaps it’s time to re-review, since it draws me back so often.
