I see that Florida Food Hound reviewed the Taco Bus last autumn and gave it a “good, but not great.”
“The legend of the Taco Bus may be bigger than the reality of the place, but it’s still a good choice for authentic Mexican fare.”
In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve developed a deep affection for El Taconazo, but I must concede that FFH is right. It’s not the greatest taco joint ever. What it is, is a great neighborhood taco joint. If I didn’t live in Seminole Heights I probably wouldn’t make special trips just to eat at the Bus, but since I do live here, I find myself eating there often, sometimes days in a row (though not several times a day, like ML).
Now that I’m thinking about it, I think I’ll have breakfast there tomorrow morning. Mmmm.

It was delicious, as always! I think that particular morning I got the chorizo breakfast burrito. While delicious, chorizo is a little too greasy for me, and it’ll probably be another year before I eat another.
