Welcome to Re/Creating Tampa.

This is a blog about all the stuff on the internet that catches my attention. I try to focus on Tampa, but my mind wanders. The other pages, Eating Tampa, Greening Tampa, Reading Tampa, and Screening Tampa are more focused.

If you have any suggestions, questions, comments, quibbles, demands, arguments, compliments, advice, commentary, announcements, corrections, links, images, or ideas send them to dave A T recreatingtampa.com. (Replace the A and the T with the @ symbol.)

Thanks!

About Me

In the year 2000 I was working as an administrative assistant at the University of Texas General Libraries.

I met Jennifer and we moved to Poughkeepsie, which I hated, and then to Norman, Oklahoma, which wasn’t so bad. While there I attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 2005 with a degree in history.

The University of South Florida offered Jennifer a job and so we moved here in the summer of 2006. While here I completed my Master’s degree in US history. In August 2008 I started the USF School of Library and Information Science where I am employed as a graduate assistant. When not studying information science, I write for my blogs and am working on several longish writing projects. When I’m not writing or looking at stuff, I’m slowly re-habbing our house in Seminole Heights.
