I needed cheese. Something a little bit fancy. I decided this would be a good time to hit the Old World Cheese Shop and check it out. I had noticed it on my trips to Cilantro’s and told myself that the next time I needed cheese I’d try it out. Guess what the Old World Cheese [...] I erred with this category. I should have specified that I was looking for the best sandwich, and not necessarily the best place to get a sandwich, or the place that makes the best sandwiches. I’d like to get at least another option or two before I do a run-off. Our candidates so far are [...] The run-off here is between Panera Bread and Firehouse Subs. And, the winner is Panera Bread! Moxie’s Cafe is located in downtown Tampa. They serve breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. I wish I could say more about this store, but I’d never heard about it before this poll. Which, of course, is the great thing about doing this. I now have a new must-try sandwich shop and review to write. I finally made it over to Merino’s Deli in Seminole Heights. Merino’s is a great addition to the Seminole Heights neighborhood. Seating inside is a little cramped, but there’s more seating outside. I had a club on wheat, chips, a pickle, and a Barq’s root beer for just over $10. It was great. Non-specialty sandwiches cost [...] |
